Just one!  The one user with the most votes from the public. 

CAN I BE CAST?
Of course! Be sure to follow the casting guidelines, and get every person you know (and even those you don't) to vote for you.  Oh, and follow the rules and regulations to the letter! 

HOW DO I GET CAST?
Gather as many votes as possible and make yourself a major player in this community.  This site is all about popularity and recognition, so make sure you stand out!

WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS?
You must be 16 years of age to use the site, and must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for casting. 

Overview

Contestants in “RuPaul’s Drag Race” online casting audition will be required to upload a mixture of videos, photos and short essays about themselves to convince the public to vote them onto the show – only one contestant from the site will be awarded a spot. The online audition will be divided into three rounds:

Round 1 – The Big Opening (May 14 – June 27)

Round 2 – The Crowd Pleaser (June 28 – July 11)

Round 3 – The Grand Finale (July 12 – July 18)

Open call, all submissions accepted until the end of the day on June 27.

75% remain after first round, based on votes from site users

NOTE: Since only a fraction of users actually got around to fulfilling our round requirements for round 1, we've talked to the producers and have decided to be a little more lenient only to give the best chance to the most amount of hopefuls as possible.  Obviously, we can't let everyone through, but if you're in the top 75% of vote getters, have at least 1 video, 1 photo, and are a citizen of the U.S. at least 18 years of age, you'll make it through to Round 2.  So don't say we never did anything for ya!  We might not be so forgiving in the future, so pay attention to these round requirements we've so lovingly crafted! 

• Upload an introductory video in the “confessional” style to include the following:
• A bit about yourself.  Who are you?  Name, age, occupation, hometown, etc.
• Tell us how you first got into drag, what your greatest influences were/are, etc.
• What shows have you performed in?
• What’s your signature style and what makes you different than other performers?
• Optional music-based performance from list of approved songs found below.
• Profile Requirements:
• Upload at least 3 photos of yourself, and one must be a clear headshot.  In or out of makeup.  It’s your choice!
• Write at least one blog entry that details your overall experience as a drag performer. Tell us about any hardships you experienced, wonderful people you’ve met along the way, etc.

• Write at least one blog entry that discusses how winning RuPaul’s Drag Race would affect your life.  Would you experience any jealousy from fellow performers?  Would you go on a national tour?  We want to hear what you would do with the crown!

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T FULFILL THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
If you do not fulfill all of the requirements you will automatically be disqualified!  It's not like we're asking for a lot, so just do it!  

WHAT KIND OF VIDEO OF ME ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
We want to see who you are, what you're all about, why you're so extraordinary, and why the heck you deserve the public's vote.  There's a lot of competition out there, so get out there and show your stuff! 

HOW LONG CAN MY VIDEO SUBMISSIONS BE?
Try to keep them under 2 minutes.  Too short and you don't get your point across..too long and the voters will lose interest, so find the sweet spot that works for you!  

CAN I UPLOAD MORE VIDEOS THAN ARE REQUIRED?
Yes!  You can upload up to 5 videos per round.  

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO I NEED TO POST?
You must post at least three photos of yourself, one of which must be a headshot (nice clear photo of your face). The others can be of you in any pose or setting. And remember, we want to see you, not necessarily your pets or friends....however adorable they may be.   And keep ‘em clean, please!    

CAN I POST ADDITIONAL PHOTOS?
Of course!  Just make sure you're portraying yourself in the best way possible.  

WHAT IF I DON'T FOLLOW THE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES?
You will give us no choice but to disqualify you!  I know it sounds harsh, but we've got to be fair to everyone who DID meet all the requirements.  We've had to do it in the past and it sucks, so make sure you follow the rules! 

CAN I EDIT MY PROFILE?
Once you've logged in to your account, just click on ‘edit profile' to change personal account information (address, phone, tags, password).  But remember, you can't change your username so choose wisely and spell correctly! 

HOW DO I ADD SOMEONE TO 'MY DREAM QUEENS' LIST?
Once you've logged in to your account, find the user whom you would like to add, click on their profile and then click on the "add {username} to my dream queens" link. 

HOW DO I ADD SOMEONE TO MY 'OTHERS I LIKE' LIST?
Once you've logged in to your account, find the user whom you would like to add, click on their profile and then click on the "save me to your 'Others I Like'" button.  Couldn't be easier!

I UPLOADED MY VIDEO, BUT IT'S NOT ON MY PROFILE.
It can take up to 24 hours for your video to be encoded and checked by our video patrol before it's posted to your account.  Make sure to follow the guidelines - it speeds up the process! 

HOW MUCH DOES VIDEO QUALITY MATTER?
Again, you're trying to get votes.  So it matters!  Take the time to make your video look as good and professional as possible.  Pay attention to the simple stuff - make sure you can be seen and heard clearly. 

WHEN DO I FIND OUT IF I'VE MADE IT THROUGH?
When we know, you'll know.  We'll be sure to reach out and contact you, so make sure your contact information is up to date and correct!  

HOW DO I VOTE?
From the homepage, just click on the icon below a profile image.  If you're visiting a particular profile, look for the ‘vote for me' tab on the right-hand side of the page. Vote away! 

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO VOTE?
Voting closes end-of-day July 18.  

HOW DO WE KNOW WHO'S LEADING THE VOTE?
From the homepage, go to the ‘Most Votes' category for a listing of the profiles with the highest number of votes. 

WHAT IF I JUST WANT TO SURF THE SITE AND VOTE?
No problem!  Just select the option for "voter only" on the signup screen and you'll be free to blog, post messages, and vote ‘til your heart's content! 

WHEN WILL THE WINNER BE REVEALED?
Don't kill us, but we won't be revealing the winner until the premiere of the show in a few months.  We'll have plenty of stuff to keep you busy on the site in the meantime though, so time will fly!
