In the immortal words of Porky Pig....that's all folks!  After almost two months of amazing videos, gorgeous pics, candid blogs, and forged friendships, the Drag Race is over!  For now anyway.  As you know Rupaul's Drag Race is a new reality competition show coming soon to LOGO.  After speaking with the Producer's of the show, we thought it would be best to hold the final reveal of who was cast from this site for the premiere.  We know, we know, you're probably dying to know, but trust us, it'll be worth the wait. 

We will be updating the site regularly to alert of new happenings, information about the upcoming premiere of Rupaul's Drag Race, and more!  Keep your eyes on this site and we won't let ya down. Congrats again to everyone for making this such an amazing site, and let's hear it for our Fierce Finalists!  Yeah!!!!!

Where have all the vote counts gone?  No, it’s not a new Paula Cole song…we just want you to know that in order to keep things as interesting and even-handed as possible, we’ve hidden the vote counts for the remainder of Round 3.  Don’t worry your pretty little heads though…all your votes are still there and accounted for. 

And votes will still accrue as normal, so to all you voters out there, keep backing your favorites!  As the old adage goes, it ain’t over til the fat lady sings...no offense to our heftier drag queens, of course!

Oh and just so you all know, the profiles in the 'most votes' section on the homepage and the 'most votes' page itself are randomized...so placement order has nothing to do with actual vote count!

July 4th came and went, but thankfully the fireworks never stop on Rupaul's Drag Race!  Just a few more days left in round 2, and then we're on to the final round!  Could it get more exciting?  The answer is yes...probably during Round 3.  :)  Make sure to keep coming back and voting for your favorites because the ante is only going up from here!

Welcome, you fabulous queens you, to Round 2!  We have a little over 100 hopefuls who made it on to Round 2, and we're glad that so many of you have made it this far.  For the rest who didn't make the cut, you should now be turning your attention to backing your favorite hopeful so they have the best chance of making it onto the show!  

Round 2 is much shorter in duration than Round 1...there are only 13 days in this round, so if you're planning on making a move now's the time to do it!  

There's also a new batch of approved songs with which to go wild.  Some pretty great stuff, too....Joan Jett, Gladys Knight, Mariah Carey, and...Britney, bitch!

Please pay close attention to this round's requirements, and good luck!

• Give us a behind the scenes tour of your wardrobe and point out a few of your favorite outfits.

Since only a fraction of users actually got around to fulfilling our round requirements for round 1, we've talked to the producers and have decided to be a little more lenient only to give the best chance to the most amount of hopefuls as possible.  Obviously, we can't let everyone through, but if you're in the top 75% of vote getters, have at least 1 video, 1 photo, and are a citizen of the U.S. at least 18 years of age, you'll make it through to Round 2.  So don't say we never did anything for ya!  We might not be so forgiving in the future, so pay attention to these round requirements we've so lovingly crafted!

In looking around the site we noticed that most of you wonderful hopefuls don't fulfill the minimum requirements to move on to Round 2!  If you've been paying attention to the round by round requirements, you'll notice that 75% of the top vote getters who meet all the eligibility requirements will move on to Round 2.  This means you must have the following:

AT LEAST one (1) video 

AT LEAST one (1) blog entry

AT LEAST three (3) photos

Be AT LEAST 18 years of age

Be a citizen of the United States. 

Now, obviously there's not much you can do about the last two, but don't be disqualified just because you forgot to upload a video!  Don't have a camera? Borrow a friend's digital cam and just introduce yourself to us!  We can't move you along if we haven't seen what you'll be like on camera, so give us something to work with, please!  

If you have any questions or concerns please let us know!  And get to work now before it's too late!  You only have until end of day on Friday.

It's that time of year again, folks...Pride!  For many of us, it's the most wonderful time of the year, so we would love to see videos of you at Pride related functions.  Whether you're on a float or watching from the sidelines, let us see what you got!  Don't forget (not that we would ever let you) but there are requirements to move from round to round, so make sure you're covering your bases if you want to move ahead!

Votes, votes, everywhere!  We love to see so many beautiful faces with so many votes!  Make sure you're using the "promote me!" widget which you can grab from every hopeful's profile.  You can post that pretty much anywhere on the web (including favorites like Myspace and Facebook) and people can vote for you without even needing to come to this site!  Though they should be coming here anyway because it's just that fabulous.  Gather those votes and get creative!

Green, red, blue, yellow, fuscia!  There ain't a color that exists that we haven't see on this site...and we love it!  It's enough to brighten up any dreary day.  Keep on posting those photos and videos that make it so hard for us to get our work done.  But then, we've always been attracted to bright lights and shiny things....ohhhh aluminum foil!

We're starting to sound like a broken record here, but you do know that you've gotta have videos if you wanna move on, right?  I know, I know, it seems like you've got plenty of time left in round 1 but trust us, time will fly and then you'll be scrambling to upload at the last minute!  Take a few seconds and tell us a little about yourself, your character, your life or whatever!  All of the videos we've seen so far have been amazing, so check those out if you need some inspiration.

Round Details

Round 1 – The Big Opening

May 14 – June 27

Open call, all submissions accepted until the end of the day on June 27.

• And one final attention grabber.  This can be another musical number, stand up comedy, or anything that will grab our attention!  (But let’s keep it PG, please!)
• Write at least one blog entry that discusses how winning RuPaul’s Drag Race would affect your life.  Would you experience any jealousy from fellow performers?  Would you go on a national tour?  We want to hear what you would do with the crown!
