Closing in on the finish line...

If I found out I got on RuPaul's Drag Race I would first probably throw up. Classy huh? And no it's not because I would be afraid of actually digesting my food... oh wait yes it would! The camera adds ten pounds! After that I'd run down the street, nude, screaming I'm going to be on TV!

Seriously though, I think we all know the possible opportunities that could arise from being on a television show like RuPaul's Drag Race! The biggest thing that would change for my professional life is that I could reach a broader audience and bring my humor and sass to many, many people. I've really always wanted my own television show and quite possibly this could be a stepping stone to that! I'm a star dammit and it's time the world knew it. I'm tired of being a star just in my own mind... and signing autographs for yourself gets a bit boring after awhile.

There's always that jealousy that looms over drag queens. I've felt it, I've dealt it and I've smelt it. I say get over it. Everyone brings something different to the table. Relish in your peers success and create your own successes.

If my success happens to include winning RuPaul's Drag Race you better believe I'd go on tour! I'd paint that giant RV pink and go on the Adventures of Pandora: Queen of the Thruway. Part of the reason this whole thing is exciting (aside from the actual show) IS the possibility of performing in new cities! I think this would be the best drag experience of my life.

Thanks to all who have voted and continued to vote! And a really big big thanks for all of the wonderful comments and compliments I've gotten on this site! Win or lose I have already taken so much away from... okay stop. That's all well and good but let's be totally honest... I want to win!

XOXO
Pandora ;-)

Dragtastic.com

So Round 3 is almost over! Yikes! A bunch of people were sent packing who actually met the requirements and a bunch were left who didn't. I don't think it is totally fair but in all the rules it does say they can change the rules as the see fit. Bottom line is only one queen actually makes it from online anyways. And judging from RuPaul's blog they already have all the rest lined up (well actually extra right now because I thought there were only 8 queens total on the show).

I feel like I've done my best and it is what it is. If I get on the show I'll be extremely happy, if I don't my life goes on. But I do know I gave it my all and I'm either what they were looking for or I'm not. That's show biz baby!

The one thing I did grow to love was getting to know all the gals and guys of the drag community. Some I would have never known off if it wasn't for this site! I'm very thankful for that. I write for a website called DRAGTASTIC.COM and it's a fabulous community like this one for drag queens! It is slowly building up the number of queens and kings it has on their site. Everyone should become a member (it's free)! You can post on people's pages, advertise upcoming shows, there are forums and even a chat! It's great but definitely needs some more great members!

I hope all the great people who have voted for me and that I have met stay in touch!

You can always find me on my website www.pandoraboxx.com or MySpace www.myspace.com/pandoraboxx

Air kisses,

PANDORA: The Lick My BOXX Tour!

Why have one ideal show, when you can have a whole f*cking tour! That's right bitches, my own damn tour! We'd go everywhere across the globe spreading fabulousity and glittered lip gloss to everyone!

Accompanying me on my tour would be the hilarious Kathy Griffin who would be my "partner-in-crime" as we roasted celebrities in the audience like Courtney Love (she might even be passed out so she wouldn't know) and Juliette Lewis so we can have some crowd surfing and kick ass rocker chicks, Cameron Diaz, Goldie Hawn and Jenny McCarthy so we can have that mixture of beauty and humor, and Oprah because she is God isn't she? The list, like the beat, goes on.

Joining me on stage would be the fabulous talents of Cyndi Lauper (one of my idols and an amazing performer live) who would do a kick ass set to get everyone rocking, followed by a little more comedy from hysterical Margaret Cho. And then we'd hit them with some more comedy when I join the fabulous ladies of Saturday Night Live, past and present, like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Rachel Dratch, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer, Jan Hooks, Jane Curtain for a barrage of pantie wetting skits that will have them crying out for tissues and Depends. Who doesn't want to laugh? Seriously. Do you know anyone? (Well maybe the Queen of England... but then again you never know what she keeps inside those hats!)

Just when you think the show ends... Cher comes out and gives her 369,201.5 farewell performance and I join her on stage, singing her classic bomb (I still love it) "Walking in Memphis." But before Cher can leave there is a clash of thunder and there she is the queen of all: Madonna. Center stage. She says, "There's only room for one bitch on this stage. But tonight maybe there is room for one more."

She high kicks Cher and knocks her off the stage (Of course she doesn't get hurt because her entire body is now made of a durable plastic that will take 3,000 years to disintegrate). I clasp Madge's hand and we pump up her Music and shine across the audience like a Ray of Light, screaming that we still feels like it was 4 Minutes ago we were Like a Virgin and You'll See this whole night will feel like a Holiday as we get Into the Groove.

As the dawn light crackles across the charcoal sky, the revelers sway across the grassy knoll, away from glittering amphitheater each carrying a souvenir pink disco ball with the initial "P" on them. They think to themselves, this was the best time they had ever spent with a fake lady dancing around in women's panties.

Top 10!

I'm so excited! I finally cracked the top 10!!! Good lord my fingernails are all broken and dirty trying to claw my way to the damn top! I know I won't probably get to the top 5 in this round unless I start practicing my wizardry and can cast 10000+ votes on myself... damn I wish I wasn't expelled from Hogwarts for giving too many hand jobs now. In my defense they told me it was a way to cast a spell!! Damn Slitherens.

Holy Sh*t It's Round 2!

YAY! Thanks to everyone for voting for me! You all rock!

Also thanks to all the fabulous queens and voters who have put me in their "Dream Queens" section or "Others I Like"!! I just wish I could put more than seven queens in mine!! Maybe I'll just have to start a rotation so I can put some more of the fabulous queens I have met and grown to love on here!

I'm sorry to see some of my friends go but oh well you all had plenty of time to get what needed to get done AND they change the damn rules to let ANY video count! Tsk tsk you lazy queens ;-)

Thanks again! You really rock my world!

Here's to getting into Round 3!!! Holla!

Life's A Drag!

Where to begin? My drag experience has taken me so many wonderful places and a few dumps throughout the years. I consider Rochester, NY my home base of Lipstick Operations but I have performed in a number of different cities including Toronto, Ft. Lauderdale, Pittsburgh and Buffalo just to name a few. There's nothing that beats the feeling of getting on stage and entertaining people, well maybe sleeping with Brad Pitt may be up there but I'm not aloud to talk about that (wink wink).

As many highs as drag has given me, I've seen my lowest points while prancing around in heels and glitter lip gloss. From breakups to cat fights to self-esteem issues, drag has been there through it all.

I've also met some amazing people because of drag. Well, let's just start by saying all of my closest friends I have today I'm not sure if I would have met if I hadn't decided to be a Fake Lady dancing in pretty underthings. Hey and you know what I've even gotten to meet a few celebrities along the way! I had the most amazing opportunity to interview the fabulous RuPaul for a local magazine here in Rochester! We talked about everything from her latest CD to Rowdy Roddy Piper (of all things)! We had a great little chit-chat. I've also gotten to interview Julie Brown (not the "Downtown" variety, the REAL one!), the legendary Mink Stole and hottie singer/songwriter Levi Kreis. I also got to meet the amazing Cyndi Lauper who was so beyond nice and wonderful. She has been an idol of mine since I was a kid; thinking I was a rock star dancing around to "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" (a song I eventually incorporated into my drag act dressed as Cyndi!). Oh and I also got to go to a fundraiser dinner with John Waters (love him!) and I sat across from him and ended up quoting lines from his movie "Female Trouble" with him... priceless!

But enough of my name dropping, I'm starting to sound like Oprah (but less like a man) let's get back to the drag... Sometimes it has been a curse (like having to smile and perform when your heart is in a million pieces next to a pair of ripped nylons on the floor) and sometimes it has been a blessing (like being chosen to be on VH1's documentary "Boys Will Be Girls" as a Madonna impersonator) but all in all I wouldn't trade my pink panties in for anything. It has made me who I am today and I am very happy to be me! Now let's hope you like me too and put me on this damn show! I've got my racing heels and my duct tape ready to go!

holler!

Yay a drag race! I've got my sneaker heels all polished up and I've been doing jumping jacks to get ready. OK, so maybe I just did two and decided it was better to watch Desperate Housewives instead. I'm really, really, really excited about this show! So vote for me! I'll post more later and my videos are coming soon!!!!!

Hootie hoo.
