I would have been a Dairy Queen...

Had I not relocated to Hollywood, I would most likely be slinging soft serve ice cream at a godforsaken midwest Dairy Queen while secretly plotting an escape. As luck would have it, the glamour gods and goddesses planted a seed when I was just a young little draglet in rural Oklahoma, which inspired me to set up shop in Los Angeles (a city I now proudly call home).

Since my arrival I have had the great fortune of meeting and working with many talented queens- mostly fabulous, some gorgeous, and all insane (but I love you all!) I've been fortunate enough to have worked in TV, film and music video with artists like Madonna, Annie Lennox and Depeche Mode, amongst others.

Being a queen in LA has taught me in immeasurable ways how to paint, persevere and put it out there. Auditioning before a panel of producers and casting directors can be like standing in front of a firing squad, but that being said the experience can be used as a powerful tool in overcoming life's obstacles. Hiking in five inch stilettos a half a mile across the Warner Brother lot in 95 degree heat because you couldn't get a drive-on for a callback, isn't exactly a walk in the park either. Great for the calves, though.
